The Company's 3D Printing division is focused on the rapid commercialization of 3D printing technologies including graphene¬infused polymer filaments and other functional filaments.
During 2015, Graphene 3D Lab made significant investments in production equipment to expand its manufacturing capabilities and brought to market a highly conductive graphene filament that can be used in the 3D printing of circuitry and functional components. These materials can be purchased through multiple distribution networks worldwide or directly online at www.blackmagic3D.com.
In addition, the Company has recently opened an Industrial Materials Division devoted to development of high volume graphene¬infused polymers for the automotive, robotics, aerospace and military industries. The Company has specialized equipment that allows Graphene 3D to create advanced composite materials with exceptional accuracy very quickly.
The facility is home to an industrial-scale filament production line. Graphene 3D Lab has connected cutting-edge academic researchers with our product development team by establishing partnerships with world-class research institutions located relatively close to our facilities: Brookhaven National Laboratory and Stony Brook University (SUNY). Our team takes advantage of these partnerships by having access to local talent, advanced scientific equipment, and by having the opportunity to team up with internationally-recognized research staff.
Our determination is to capitalize on the extraordinarily disruptive potential of 3D printing by developing cutting edge technologies for printing functional devices. We aim to utilize graphene - a "wonder" material praised for its extraordinary strength and conductivity -- to offer next generation functional materials for 3D printing and to establish a technology enabling the printing of entire operational devices in a one-step, fully-computerized process. This as of yet unrealized advancement will move 3D printing from a novel and niche technology to the manufacturing process of choice in nearly every industry.
Daniel Stolyarov serves as Co-Chief Executive Officer at Graphene 3D Lab. Dr. Stolyarov holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Southern California and a MS Physics/Applied Mathematics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. He has expertise in nanomaterials and the formulation of nanocomposites, as well as experience leading the technical branch of Graphene Labs as the Chief Technology Officer. In his previous role at Energetiq, Dr. Stolyarov and his team won the 2011 Prism Award for the Laser-Driven Light Source they developed. He has also co-authored papers with Nobel and Kavli prize winners, as well as members of the National Academy of Sciences.
Elena Polyakova serves as Co-Chief Executive Officer at Graphene 3D Lab, and was instrumental in bringing the first graphene filament to market. She is also co-founder of Graphene Laboratories, Inc. where she has served as CEO and President since 2009, pioneering the commercial graphene production market. Polyakova has grown the company's client base substantially in the past six years. Her expertise in 2D materials has gained wide publicity from news publishers such as such as BBC and Bloomberg. Polyakova has co-authored papers with Nobel and Kavli prize winners, as well as members of the National Academy of Sciences. She received a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Southern California and a Master's degree from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
Mr. Gary Dyal serves as Chairman of the Board for Graphene 3D Lab. He is a recognized leader in the commercialization of nanotechnology and graphene related products. He brings 35 years of manufacturing and technology experience to the Company. Mr. Dyal currently serves as Vice-President of Cryo Pure Corp. an international company that packages and distributes industrial/ultra high purity specialty gases, chemicals, cryogenics and cryogenic chemical delivery equipment. For 13 years prior to his co-founding Cryo Pure Corp, Mr. Dyal was the Director of Marketing & Sales for CVD Equipment Corporation (NASDAQ -- CVV) a company that designs, develops, and manufactures a broad range of state-of-the-art graphene manufacturing equipment and process solutions for research and industrial applications. Mr. Dyal was responsible for global sales of R&D products related to graphene, carbon nanotubes, semiconducting nanowires, 2D materials and thin films for research laboratories.
Mr. Robert Scott serves as Chief Financial Officer at Graphene 3D Lab. Mr. Scott has over 20 years of professional experience in corporate finance, accounting and merchant/commercial banking. He currently serves as the CFO of Riverside Resources Inc. (TSXV: RRI) and Nickel One Resources Inc. (TSXV: NNN) as well as being a board member of Genesis Metals Corp. (TSXV: GIS) and Mongolia Growth Group Ltd (TSXV: YAK). Mr. Scott earned his CFA in 2001, his CA designation in 1998 and has a B.Sc. from the University of British Columbia.
